Slice & Schmear in South Philly is a very solid spot if you’re looking for a fresh bagel, coffee, or something quick in the morning. I’ve been a few times now, and the bagels have been fresh every time. They also have plenty of different spreads to choose from, which makes it easy to switch things up and try something new each visit. One thing to know is that it’s pretty much first come, first served when it comes to the bagel selection. I’ve gone a little later before and some of the better or more popular flavors were already sold out, so I’d recommend getting there earlier if you have a specific bagel in mind. On one of my visits I also got the Strawberry Glaze smoothie, and it was very good. It tasted fresh and was a nice change from just grabbing my usual coffee with a bagel. They’ll also sometimes have six-packs of day-old bagels available to take home at a pretty good discount. I’ve grabbed them before and they’ve still been plenty fresh enough to have around for the weekend, so definitely worth looking out for if they have any available. There has usually been a little bit of a line whenever I’ve stopped in, but nothing crazy- maybe around a five-minute wait. If anything, a

My friends and i stopped in for the first time today. The four of us got a bagel of sorts and smoothies. I chose a jalapeño cheddar bagel with habanero honey cream cheese. So spicy yet so YUMMY!!! The staff members were very kind and welcoming. 😊 great lil shop!

I was craving a good bagel sandwich and found this place on Google. It had pretty good reviews, so I decided to stop by. I came in hoping for a sesame bagel, but everything was sold out except the everything egg bagel. I ordered the lox sandwich. The portion was generous, but I was disappointed because it was quite oily, slightly burnt, and a bit hard. On the positive side, the service was good, and they have a nice variety of coffee and latte drinks. I tried the strawberry matcha, and it was tasty. Cozy small spot with some seating.

My breakfast was so good! Bacon, egg and cheddar on a jalapeno cheddar bagel, like everything was cooked perfectly, the egg and cheese goes well in my mouth! And the bagels are freshly baked every day, which takes it to another level. Staff was warm and welcoming. 100% worth trying, i’ll be back to try their sandwich!

Order online! Got a very mid BEC, the egg itself was sooo dry and disgusting it made me nauseous to eat. Plenty of cheese and the bacon was good. I wish they put the everything seasoning on the bottom of the bagel as well. The side bagel I ordered was small and dense, but the bagel that came on the vegetable sandwhich I ordered was big and fluffy - don’t love the inconsistency! The strawberry cream cheese is very tasty and sweet. Coffee is decent. Wish there was a button to add hot sauce or a hash brown to the BEC.
